A little about Muirenn...

On the snowky peaks of Coerthas, Muirenn is born from a union between a male elezen noble and a female miqo’te stablehead of House Shyama. A union that was never publicized due to scrutiny of the Church and Ishgardian society.After the fall of House Shyama over the years, Muirenn’s father disappeared due to distress over the loss, leaving Muirenn and her mother behind.At five (5) years old, Muirenn was orphaned. Her mother slowly succumbed to her illness due to their living conditions, as she prioritized Muirenn’s well-being over her own. Thankfully, some of House Shyama’s former servants who still had contact with her mother have done their due diligence and was able to reach one of her relatives.She was then found a week later, and was taken in.Growing up, Muirenn was homeschooled and was also taught basic combat as self-defense; the one thing she excelled at. When she came of age, her relative decided that she already taught her everything she could teach her.She was then sent to Ul’dah to train in the Pugilist's Guild, carrying her relative’s recommendation with her.Becoming the Warrior of Light that she never asked to be, but did so as her sense of duty demanded it.

Warrior of Light: During and aftermath

She was only an adventurer when she became one and those experiences are mostly privy to her alone, mostly truncating the horrors as to she would not wish her experiences on anyone, not even to her worst enemies.Being one was not without trials and tribulations as she has been applauded by many for her numerous feats and successes. Muirenn barely had time to breathe before then. Now that most of her harrowing experiences are now put behind her, she has given herself time to breathe, rest, and grieve over her numerous losses.Her biggest loss in her life was losing Haurchefant during the siege in The Vigil and it made her wary of being in relationships before meeting a certain orange-haired Viera which made her take the leap and believe again.
She has found her family through her two best friends and her chosen family and is still in contacts with her relative who adopted her after her own mother passed away from her illness. Her own father managed to make contact with her after ‘abandoning’ them both years ago for reasons she was not known of, she is still wary of it until then and will have to speak to him soon so that he can finally explain his actions towards her and her mother all those years ago.Her story does not end there...

Some OOC stuff...

I did say before that I wont enter the RP sphere the moment I started playing FFXIV but here I am and I have been enjoying my experience thus far.I have some RP experience of around 10+ years ranging from RP forums, dA, tumblr, and TTRPGs. Though I have been on and off on RP-ing through the years, but I love writing and getting back into roleplaying in XIV has rekindled it.

Hooks

If you have seen me around but you don’t know how to interact with me. Here are some of the hooks that can help you with our interactions.

  • Part-timer: Muirenn takes a lot of odd jobs left and right since she likes to work a lot. If you do see her in a venue, chances are she’s working whether as a host or a delivery girl.

  • Coerthas: The place where she was born. She had both fond and bitter memories as she never knew her real family, as both her mother and relative did not say much about House Shyama.

  • Shyama: Her surname, the only family name she carries but bears no weight in Ishgardian society. It has been years since the family name was mentioned but she has no clue about her roots.

  • Monk: She started training as a Pugilist when she traveled to Ul’dah with her relative’s permission. She commended that Muirenn has a natural talent for combat and it would be wasted if she remained in Coerthas.

  • Orphan: Losing her mother to sickness as a young kit and not knowing her father upon her birth. Muirenn never knew what it was like to have a real family with her. Now that she has a few adopted family figures in her life, to some it might sound unorthodox, but to Muirenn she would not change it for the world.

  • Unfamiliar with miqo'te tribes: Her mother was city-born so any means of tribal traditions are not very familiar to her. There might be some aspects of tribe life she questions but she keeps those comments to herself.
